The Evidence Collection Technician (ECT) program is designed to verify an applicant’s fundamental knowledge and practical skills in evidence collection at fire scenes. The evaluation is based on  established professional qualification standards and industry best practices. This program provides the foundation for assessing an individual’s competency in performing specific evidence collection tasks in accordance with accepted practices.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements in experience, education, and training, and successfully complete a comprehensive practical examination.
